Funny you should say that. When I drew the comic, I thought about having Gandalf reply, saying, "Elrond, I find your lack of faith disturbing," so that people would know who the kneeling figure was. But then I thought, "Nah, people will know who Elrond is. Pointy ears, silver head wreath thing-y; Yeah, they'll know who it is."

When I read the spam line, I immediately knew what the comic was going to be. Then the thought of Darth Gandalf struck me as really amusing.

Yeah, I've just stopped searching. Mostly because I've already drawn the comic, posted it to imageshack, and then come back to spamusement.

Either that, or I got the email, thought of a great comic, and then searched. I can't take that anymore.

I don't think there's any reason not to do a line just because it's been done before . . . unless it's the exact same joke. Which has come up in the past.

If you find that somebody else did the line before you, but not the same joke, it's just nice to have it linked so we can judge your relative worth and decide who's more deserving of life. Which hasn't come up in the past, but you never know.
